What is The Logbook Collection? Three field logbooks for people who live outside. Not journals — proper record books for conditions, catches, trips, finds, sketches and maps.
What's the difference between logging and journalling? Journalling is for feelings, thoughts and the internal world. Logging is for the external world — what you saw, caught, found, noticed. It's about logging life, not a writing a diary.
What are the three formats? The 2-Year Logbook — structured daily format for tracking patterns over two seasons. Location, weather, temperature, conditions, moon phase, tide, notes. Deep teal linen, gold foil stamp, 384 pages, 120gsm smooth paper.
The Gridded Logbook — blank grid format for sketches, maps and visual records. Soft sage linen, gold foil stamp, 132 pages, 120gsm smooth paper.
The Indexed Dot Logbook — 174 numbered and indexed pages with 2 ribbon bookmarks. For memory-keeping, travel and the kind of life that doesn't fit into one category. Olive green linen, gold foil stamp, 120gsm smooth paper.
What is the Founding Edition? The first 25 of each format are individually numbered and gold-stamped inside the back cover. Once they're gone, they're gone. There will be no second Founding Edition.
Can I buy a bundle? Yes — three bundle options are available. The Full Haul (all three logbooks), The Long Game (2-Year + Indexed) and Keep One Give One (two 2-Year Logbooks).
Can I give this as a gift? Absolutely. Our Keep One Give One bundle is designed exactly for that — two logbooks so you can introduce someone to field logging. Any format also makes a beautiful standalone gift.
What should I write in a logbook? Where you were, what the conditions were, what you found or caught, weather, tides, who you met, what you learned. Some entries are three lines, some fill a page. There's no wrong way to log.
Do I need to write every day? No. There's no commitment, no streak to maintain, no guilt if you miss a week or a month. The logbook just waits. You write when there's something worth recording.
What if I've never kept a logbook before? Perfect. Start anywhere. The next time you're somewhere worth remembering, write it down. That's logging. That's all it is.
Can I use this for fishing / diving / foraging / hiking? Absolutely. Our logbooks are for anyone who goes outside and pays attention — fishers, divers, foragers, hunters, surfers, birdwatchers, beachcombers, travellers, and anyone building a record of adventures and the world around them.
What paper do you use? 120gsm smooth paper — premium quality that handles pencil, pen and light sketching beautifully. Built to last and made to be kept.
When will my order ship? The full collection ships from early May 2026. Orders are shipped within 2-3 Business days. You'll receive a confirmation email with tracking when your order is on its way.
How much is shipping? Flat rate Standard AU$12 Australia-wide and Flat Rate Express AU$15 Australia-wide. Free standard shipping Australia-wide on orders over AU$100.
How long does shipping take? Orders are packed by hand and typically dispatched within 2-3 business days of the order date. You'll receive tracking information once your order is on its way.
Do you ship internationally? Not at this stage — Australian orders only for the Founding Edition launch. International shipping will be considered for future runs.
Can I return or exchange my logbook? Because these are a limited Founding Edition run, I'm unable to offer refunds or exchanges unless your logbook arrives damaged. If that happens — please get in touch immediately and I'll make it right.
